Non-functional JosIndustrial products

Among the products offered by the Chinese company JosIndustrial there are GSM and fixed line alarm systems. End of December 2010 I ordered the system J-h830gsm2, system which was delivered to me beginning January 2011. With this system, theoretically guaranteed for one year, I met many of the problems that the company JosIndustrial do not take into consideration in the sense that  the Customer Support representative does not even reply to the E-mails the emails I have sent. The major functional problems encountered are the following:

1. A French version of the system is announced and was shipped, but only an installation manual in a very bad English language was part of the shipment
2. The product does not conform to the accompanying manual. It is therefore impossible to install it by following the procedure described in this manual to the letter.
3. The product is supposed to transmit SMS messages, characterizing the detected alarm, through the GSM network to a pre-recorded mobile number. The initialization of this function, although recognized as good by the system, does not give the expected effects; the pre-recorded number is called, but no SMS or message is transmitted.
4. The product is supposed to convey a message of pre-recorded alarm through the fixed telephone network, to pre-recorded fixed or mobile phone numbers. This function is unusable because before listening to the message the called party must know that * has to be dialed when the called party, who may be a neighbor, does not even know that it is an alarm system that calls or if a friend is calling. It will therefore hang up and think that it is an error in numbering as nobody seems to be on the calling side..
5. The system can be controlled remotely by SMS or a line fixed message. This requires to specify after how many rings the system must accept the call. Unfortunately, this number of rings is the same for the Alarm box specific GSM number and for your fixed line number. The consequence is that: either the alarm box accepts the call to late and the calling administrator is connected to your call answering machine that doesn’t understand the commands that are for your Alarm panel, or the call is answered to soon and the calling party, connected right away to the Alarm panel that sends the password request message, will not understand why and what password he/she has entered before talking to the called party; in this case the fixed line can’t be shared anymore between the Alarm system and the family. The only way to work around this problem is to subscribe to a second line dedicated to your alarm system.
6. There are other functions that don’t work as specified in the system; we could bypass these functions by adding our own developed electronic circuits to Alarm system.

My recommendation is not to trust this company for the products this company offers.

Parmi les produits proposés par la société chinoise JosIndustrial il y a des systèmes d'alarme GSM et Ligne Fixe. Fin décembre 2010 j'ai commandé le système J-H830GSM2, système qui me fut livré début janvier 2011. Avec ce système, théoriquement garantie pendant un an, j'ai rencontré de nombreux problèmes que la société Jos ne prends pas en considération dans la mesure où le responsable clientèle ne répond même pas aux mails que je lui ai envoyés.Les principaux problèmes fonctionnels rencontrés sont les suivants:

1. Une version française du système est annoncée et fut commandée mais seul un manuel d'installation rédigé en un très mauvais anglais est livré avec le système.
2. Le produit n'est pas conforme au manuel qui l'accompagne; il est donc impossible de l'installer en suivant ce manuel à la lettre.
3. Le produit est supposé transmettre des SMS caractérisant l'alarme détectée par le réseau GSM vers un numéro mobile pré-enregistré. L'initialisation de cette fonction, bien que reconnue comme bonne par le système, ne  donne pas les effets escomptés; le numéro pré-enregistré est appelé mais aucun SMS ou message est transmis.
4. Le produit est supposé transmettre un message d'alarme pré-enregistré, à travers le resau téléphonique fixe, vers un nnuméro de téléphone fixe ou mobile pré-enregistré. Cette fonction est inutilisable car avant d'écouter le message il faut savoir qu'il faut appuyer sur * alors que la personne appelée qui peut être un voisin, ne sait même pas que c'est un système d'alarme qui l'appelle; elle raccrochera donc et pensera qu'il s'agit d'une erreur de numérotation.
5. Le système est supposé pouvoir être commandé à distance par des SMS ou une ligne fixe; il faut pour cela  spécifier au bout de combien de sonnerie le système doit décrocher. Ce compte est malheureusement le même pour le numéro GSM propre au système d'alarme et pour votre numéro de  ligne fixe. Il en résulte que: soit votre système décroche trop trad et est envoyé sur votre répondeur soit il décroche trop vite et le système demandera à tout appelant d'entrer un mot de passe et votre ligne fixe n'est plus utilisable par qui que ce soit parce que vos correspondants seront toujours connectés sur votre système d'alarme avant que vous ayez eu une chance de décrocher. Le seul moyen pour contourner ce problème serait donc de vous abonner à une seconde ligne dédiée à votre centrale d'alarme.
6. Il y a d'autre fonctions dans ce système qui ne marchent pas comme décrites mais j'ai pu les "court-ciruiter" en y ajoutant des circuits électroniques supplémentaires à l'intérieur du boitier.

Ma recommandation est donc de ne pas faire confiance à cette société pour les produits qu'elle propose.
